A couple of weeks ago I noted that Jupiter and Pluto were in exact alignment
- the win-or-bust combination that produces marvellous events or total
wipe-outs. People have since pointed out that these planets stay in close
contact for several months. So when, exactly, are we going to win, or go bust?
As always when things don’t happen as quickly as we would like, we turn up
the heat. If dinner seems to be taking ages, we turn up the cooker. If a
journey is dragging, we press the accelerator. It is just the same among the
planets. If two planets seem to be slow to act, then a third can add his
energy to the other two.
The best planet for acting as an accelerator in this way is Mars. This
weekend, Mars is in contact with both Jupiter and Pluto at the same time,
creating a tight little triangle in the sky. Mars is the planet of fire, and
the other two are in fire signs (Jupiter in Leo, Pluto in Sagittarius). So
between them there should be enough heat to bring this planetary mix to the
boil. Mind you, if you’ve ever eaten a burnt dinner or been given a speeding
ticket, you’ll know that sometimes you get more heat than you wanted. If
you’re susceptible to this - and with this particular combination that means
Fire sign people of all ages, plus people from all signs who are 25, 37, 49,
or 61 years old – then hold on tight over the next few days. Life is about to
accelerate.
Today the Sun passes by the Southern Claw of Scorpio. It sounds risky.
Eastern astrologers all paid attention to this star. Also, tomorrow, November
9, appears in medieval lists of days needing caution. They used to think that
on such days one should not start anything important. There you are, the
perfect excuse for an idle weekend...

Research into Astrology and Infertility by Pat Harris, MSc., D.F.Astrol.S.
I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my earlier notices on Jonathan's website and who volunteered to take part in the research that I am conducting as part of my PhD in astrology and health psychology at Southampton University, UK. I now have quite a number of people taking part which will help me in conducting my study into factors that may or may not correlate with fertility treatment outcome. I should have a progress report out soon. However, I am still looking for women who are currently pregnant - not necessarily as a result of fertility treatment - and who would like to contact me about details of my research to see if they would like to take part. My email address is: pharris@interalpha.co.uk
