This week in Astro News:
The Sun is about to make a ‘trine’ aspect to Saturn. It’s exact on Tuesday,
but the influence is there all week. A trine is an angle of 120 degrees, a
third of a circle, or four zodiac signs. So the Sun, in Aquarius, is exactly
four signs from Saturn in Gemini.
Lots of people tell me they have heard that trines are supposed to be good,
yet when one occurs their life gets no better, so what’s going on?
It works like this: any two planets in trine will be in signs of the same
element. Aquarius and Gemini, where the Sun and Saturn are at the moment, are
both air signs, for example. Energies in the same element have a certain
amount in common, and that helps them work together – even when the two
planets are very different in what they represent.
The Sun is light and growth; Saturn is restriction and denial. Where the Sun
wants to move forward, Saturn closes the door. Being in trine means that if
some good can come of it, it will. In this case we could say that a door may
be closed for you, but it won’t be locked. It will open if pushed. This
week’s trine says that progress is possible. Not much, perhaps, but enough to
make a difference.
Spotted Saturn yet? Look on Tuesday evening, when the moon is right next to
it. When the Sun is up, you can’t see the planets; when it’s dark and
Saturn’s up, you can’t see the Sun. Makes you wonder how ancient astrologers
knew when planets were in trine, doesn’t it?

Research into Astrology and Infertility by Pat Harris, MSc., D.F.Astrol.S.
I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my earlier notices on Jonathan's website and who volunteered to take part in the research that I am conducting as part of my PhD in astrology and health psychology at Southampton University, UK. I now have quite a number of people taking part which will help me in conducting my study into factors that may or may not correlate with fertility treatment outcome. I should have a progress report out soon. However, I am still looking for women who are currently pregnant - not necessarily as a result of fertility treatment - and who would like to contact me about details of my research to see if they would like to take part. My email address is: pharris@interalpha.co.uk
